AIP seeks a seasoned professional to be responsible for the development of a world-class partner publishing program to acquire publishing contracts for society journals in the physical sciences. The role will also play a key part in developing relations with current publishing clients by providing the best customer experience to enable them to meet their strategic objectives. As a key member of the AIP Publishing management team, this role needs to have a well developed understanding of the needs of society journals and their successful management and be highly capable of working with all levels within society publications including the Executive Director, editor-in-chief, publications committee chair. Candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in the physical sciences. Advanced science degree preferred. Minimum seven years management experience required with proven success in managing publishing operations. A minimum of four years of relevant experience required with STM journals and learned societies. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record working with high quality physics and physics science journals and societies. Solid understanding of all aspects of journal and website financial management and forecasting required. Experience with and enthusiasm for innovative online publishing projects and working in an evolving, team-oriented environment. Exceptional organization, written, and verbal skills a must. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization and sister organizations.
