About the Industrial Physics Forum

AIP Industrial Physics ForumThe AIP Industrial Physics Forum (IPF) is a "meeting of the minds" in physics. AIP Corporate Associates sponsor the conference and bring leaders from across the field into the mix of participants. Industry executives, research managers, academics, and science policy decision makers convene annually to keep current on research and policy developments affecting the physical sciences community. The IPF is designed to foster the sharing of knowledge and collaboration, and is an opportunity to exchange ideas with other R&D leaders facing similar research and business challenges.

This year the IPF will be held in conjunction with the AVS International Symposium, to provide AVS attendees an opportunity to participate and to leverage the benefits of AVS’s rich technical program and diverse membership.

All IPF sessions feature world renowned leaders from industry and academia.  Session descriptions are included in the program.  Additional sessions in the topical conference will explore the manufacture of quality nanosized building blocks, their (directed) assembly into devices/systems (bottom up), processing of patterned surfaces (top down), and the measurement/control/standards needed for manufacturing.  See www.avs.org for more information.
