Industrial Physics Leadership Summit II - 2008 March APS Meeting

AIP Corporate Associates and APS are organizing a special half-day workshop of corporate leaders at the 2008 March APS Meeting on Wednesday 12 March, 2008 in New Orleans, LA. The Industrial Physics Leadership Summit is a direct follow-up from a similar session held at the 2006 APS March Meeting held in Baltimore, MD.

This first portion of the Summit is by invitation only, consisting of a private breakfast and roundtable discussion for senior executives from AIP Corporate Associates member companies and selected others engaged in industrial research. This group will not only consider how U.S. industry can best support the innovative research that it needs, but also discuss how their corporations address this challenge, as well as share ideas about the future and values of innovative industrial research. This discussion will include both national and international policy issues as well as technical issues.

APS and AIP will gather the ideas and capture the developments on how to best collaborate with industry as part of their continuous efforts to enhance the future innovative capacity of industrial scientists.

Schedule

  • 7:30 am – 11:00 am. Private Breakfast Discussion. New Orleans Marriott, Mardi Gras Ballroom. Invitation only.
  • Immediately following the private session, there will be an open session as part of the APS March Meeting, where four prominent leaders in industrial R&D will be invited speakers.
