Reproductive Endocrinologists Show Fertility Benefits in Dietary Supplement
October 1, 2003
Physicians have developed a supplement called "fertility blend" which contains the herbs chasteberry and green tea, vitamin E, folic acid, and other vitamins and minerals. Clinical data have shown each of these ingredients to have positive health effects. Reproductive endocrinologists at Stanford University have found this combination of herbs, vitamins and minerals improved hormone levels and basal body temperatures. In the study, 15 women took this fertility blend. Of them, four got pregnant and had babies. A similar group who took a sugar pill had no pregnancies. Clinical studies are continuing.
