Orthopedic Surgeons Improve Knee Replacement Procedure with Navigation System

A new surgical navigation system helps to improve the fit and rage of motion for patients with knee replacement surgeries. Surgeons position transmitters on the leg, and infrared cameras track the leg's kinematics. A computer then analyzes the motion and creates an anatomic drawing of the knee in real time to help the surgeons get the best position for the knee implant.
