Smart Clothes with Sense

Embedded Optics Sensors and Electronics Improve Safety, Comfort

A futuristic "smart jacket" lights up in the dark, monitors your heart rate, and warms you up when it senses your chills. The jacket, developed by a textile and apparel design student, has optic sensors woven into its fabric, and electric wires running along the seams that can light up to provide safety during an evening run.
