Better Than an EKG?

Medical Physicists Develop Magnetocardiogram for Diagnosing Heart Disorders

Cardiologists now have a new technique at their disposal for diagnosing common problems that could be missed using a traditional EKG. The technique, called magnetocardiogram, uses nine super-conducting sensors that are positioned over the patient. These sensors measure 36 different areas of the heart. Then, a computer displays what the heart's magnetic field looks like.
