At its November 2000 meeting, the AIP Governing Board voted to support the third paragraph of the Coalition for National Security Research FY 2002 Funding Statement:DoD's S&T programs provide critical investment in scientific disciplines
vital to ensuring future security, including engineering, mathematics, and
physical, computer, and behavioral sciences. The S&T programs make essential
contributions to the national defense by fueling innovation and training the
scientists and engineers of tomorrow. DOD S&T programs support research
in our nation's universities, DoD laboratories, and private sector laboratories,
which link fundamental science discoveries and future military applications |
