The following statement on the proposed National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering was endorsed by the AIP Governing Board during the fall of 2000:The Governing Board of the American Institute of Physics supports legislation
to amend the Public Health Service Act to establish the National Institute
of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering at the National Institutes of
