Notes
The National Bureau of Standards was established in 1901. It was renamed the National Institute of Standards and Technology in 1988, and is administered by the United States Department of Commerce. Since 1962 it has co-administered the JILA institute at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and much of the outstanding physical research conducted by NIST scientists takes place there. JILA staff are also listed on the Colorado ACAP page.
