Faculty, Boston University (1963-2000); established the Research Internship in Science and Engineering; affiliated with the Francis Bitter National Magnet Laboratory, Brookhaven National Laboratory, University of California San Diego, and Harvard University.

Scope and Contents of Collection

Two volumes of lecture notes written by Gregory Breit and Lars Onsager, provided to students of their phsyics lectures at Yale University. The lectures are titled Theorectical Nuclear Physics (Breit, 1960 [date provided by donor]) and Statistical Mechanics (Onsager, 1961).These notes were collected by George Zimmerman while he was a student at Yale. The notes do not contain annotations by Zimmerman.
