Academic Partners

Departments of physics, astronomy and allied sciences have a new way to help preserve the history of our fields. In response to a trial solicitation, many have pledged to support the Centerís endowment through a small annual donation for the next five years. These Academic Partners will be recognized in Physics Today and other publications on a regular basis, and with the success of this trial we are now inviting others to join.

The Center provides many services to academic departments; for example, the Niels Bohr Library & Archives serves as a central repository for departmental histories and the CVs and photos of distinguished professors. The Center also provides guidance for preserving the papers of important faculty members and works with archives to safeguard departmental records.
