Lyne S. Trimble Science Heritage Lecture Series

The Lyne S. Trimble Science Heritage Lecture Series features prominent science historians and writers who highlight the important roles that science plays in modern society and culture. Past speakers in the lecture series included Nancy Greenspan, Gerald Holton, Roger Steuwer, David Devorkin, and Jim Ottaviani. Future speakers will come from diverse backgrounds and address science heritage from a variety of points of view. Through these lectures, the public gains a greater understanding of science through our community of scholars, writers, and teachers at AIP's History Center and Library.

The lecture series is named for Dr. Lyne S. Trimble (1912 – 1992), who held patents for a number of color-reproduction systems and was an innovative chemist. See the press release.
