Congratulations! Your wedding day was an event to remember and the honeymoon was wonderful. But, there are a few important items that need your attention.
Health Coverage
You can choose to add your spouse and any new dependents to the following coverages:
- Medical Insurance (Contribution Required)
- Dental Insurance (Contribution Required)
- Vision Insurance (Contribution Required)
- Voluntary Accident Insurance
Your New Last Name
If you choose to change your name, then you should legally change the following:
- Social Security Card
- Insurance Policies
- Income Tax Forms
- Driver's License, Passport, Voter's Registration Card
- Other important documents
Important Reminders
All benefit enrollments must be submitted within 30 days after your wedding and coverage begins on your wedding day. If you fail to do so within 30 days, then you cannot cover your spouse until the next open enrollment period.
Your dependent (spouse) must enroll in the same medical and dental plan that you have elected. After enrollment, you cannot change plans until AIP's open enrollment period.
Please take time to consider whether you want to change your beneficiary information on you life insurance or retirement plans.
You may want to increase your retirement contributions or enroll in our Supplemental Retirement Annuity now that you are married. Take time to analyze any changes in your retirement planning.
You will need to update your income tax withholding status.
Change your emergency contact information
