This forum features a panel of scientists whose research has proven or potential industrial applications, to illustrate the relevance of rheology to the commercial sector.  Each panelist will present for 12 minutes, followed by a 20-minute moderated discussion.  A social/networking hour follows.

Chair:  Catherine O’Riordan, Vice President of Physics Resources, American Institute of Physics

Norman J. Wagner, Chair, Chemical Engineering Department, University of Delaware.  Wagner will address shear thickening in military applications.

Gerald G. Fuller, Fletcher Jones II Professor of Chemical Engineering, Stanford University. Fuller has collaborated extensively with industry in areas ranging from petroleum to therapeutics.

Jeffrey Morris, Professor of Chemical Engineering, City College of New York

Daniel J. Klingenberg, Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering, University of Wisconsin – Madison. Klingenberg’s research involves magnetorheology with automotive applications, and biomass rheology for the production of biofeuls.
