Prof. Klingenberg has two research thrusts with direct applications to industry: magnetorheology and biomass rheology. Magnetorheology is being exploited in various active damping and torque transfer applications, most notably in the automotive industry. Prof. Klingenberg's research focuses on the development of the magnetorheological fluids that are used in these applications.
