PACS 2006 - SPECIAL EDITION
This special edition of PACS® contains embedded mapping instructions for transforming the deleted 2003 PACS codes into the new 2006 codes. The deleted codes have USE instructions, directing the user to one or more possible codes in the 2006 PACS scheme.
In this Special Edition:
- New codes have N preceding the code and are colored green.
- Deleted codes have D preceding the code and are colored red.
- Modified codes are preceded by M and are colored yellow.
- The original text of Modified codes is preceded with S for Superseded.
- The unchanged codes are not preceded by any letter and are carried over from the 2003 Edition of PACS.
AIP would like to thank the members of the physics community who were involved in this revision. A special thanks to the Subcommittee on Classification and Information Retrieval as well as the Working Groups appointed by the Subcommittee for this revision of PACS. AIP would also like to thank the Editors of Member and Affiliated Society journals, as well as AIP's contractual partners for their guidance and help in the revision process.
