Ferric Rings

Structural representation of the molecular "ferric wheel" [NaFe₆ (triethanolamin)₆]. The six Fe⁺³ ions are displayed in red, the Na⁺ in orange, O in blue, N in green, and C in yellow; H atoms were omitted. The magnetic moments responsible for the magnetic properties are carried by the Fe ions.
