Xenon Ketchup

 

Pictures showing the CVX-2 experiment flown onboard the ill-fated Space Shuttle Columbia mission in February 2003 and hard drive recovered from the wreckage. The experiment, monitoring the behavior of xenon gas while being stirred under zero-gravity conditions, provided information about how fluids (such as ketchup) can so greatly change their viscosity when shaken.
