Dark Matter Spike

Dark matter spike

The black hole at the center of our galaxy might cause a high-density spike of dark matter to form nearby. Some the dark matter particles might annihilate into energy which would re-appear as particles, such as neutrinos, which could be detected at Earth, providing us with information about the dark matter density.
