ASCE Launches Research Library on Scitation®For immediate release LONDON , UK , 30 November, 2004 -- Scitation is pleased to announce the recent release of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Research Library. In one full-text database, the ASCE Research Library combines both ASCE proceedings and peer-reviewed journals to form the most comprehensive source of civil engineering research and practical applications available online. Now, subscribers with an ASCE Research Library Card can prepay for a set number of papers, which they can access over a 12-month period. "Gathering all of ASCE’s online journals, conference proceedings, and periodicals into one service provides users with quick, convenient access to information on a broad range of cutting-edge topics," according to Bruce Gossett ASCE, Managing Director and Publisher. "I have no doubt that the Research Library will offer specialists an unparalleled resource for keeping current with the latest developments in their field." There are three options for accessing ASCE Research Library content: The Proceedings Research Library Card [RED] provides access to ASCE conference papers from 2003 to the present. Subscribers can and download any 15 articles from across all online conference proceedings included in the ASCE Online Research Library. The Journals Research Library Card [BLUE] (formerly known as ASCE Personal Journal) provides access to ASCE journal papers from 1995 to the present. Subscribers can download 20 articles from across all online ASCE journals and periodicals included in the ASCE Research Library. Proceedings and Journals Combined Research Library Card [GOLD] provides access to ASCE conference papers (2003-present) and ASCE journal papers (1995-present). Subscribers can download 40 articles from across all online proceedings and journals included in the ASCE Research Library. Individual users enjoy the My Research Library Card personalized web page to manage their access the ASCE content. This page also serves as a personal archive containing all downloaded articles.
