Terry Hulbert to join AIP's Strategic Initiatives Group
“I look forward to working closely with Terry on executing many of the exciting plans that AIP has in development for the coming years,” said Tim Ingoldsby, AIP’s Director of Strategic Initiatives and Publisher Relations. “I have collaborated with Terry for more than a decade on a variety of issues. He is very well respected within the publishing industry, and I expect him to expand upon my business development responsibilities without missing a beat. I can’t wait to begin sharing ideas with him and developing new products, services, and business relationships.” Until accepting this offer from AIP, Terry worked for 13 years at Institute of Physics Publishing, during which time he was a driving force behind the development and marketing of online products and services. As a key contributor to IOPP’s worldwide reputation for innovation in Internet-based publishing, he also served on international committees and standards bodies, including COUNTER. Terry will begin his employment with AIP effective at the beginning of January 2008. The American Institute of Physics is a not-for-profit corporation chartered in 1931 to provide publishing and distribution services for scientific and technical societies. AIP is the publisher or co-publisher of 11 journals and two magazines, many of which have the highest impact factors in their category, as well as the AIP Conference Proceedings series. Melville, NY, 20 November 2007 - The American Institute of Physics today announced that Terry Hulbert, until recently Head of e-Development & Strategy for Institute of Physics Publishing (IOPP), is joining AIP as its new Director of Business Development.
