Scitation^® Launches the First Issue of the HFSP Journal

Melville, NY, June 4, 2007 - AIP Publishing Services is pleased to announce the launch of HFSP Journal: Frontiers of Interdisciplinary Research in the Life Sciences. The first issue of this new journal, published by HFSP Publishing, is now available on AIP's Scitation® hosting platform and can be accessed free of charge at http://hfspj.aip.org. The HFSP Journal will be published in print and online.

The HFSP Journal aims to foster communication between scientists publishing innovative interdisciplinary research at the intersection of biology and the physical sciences and offers authors of research articles two avenues to publication. One is the conventional submission process and the second is Open Access. The Open Access option calls for authors or their sponsoring institutions to pay a fee to support the article's publication and archiving costs. In return, the article will be made freely available immediately and in perpetuity to any online user. For articles accepted through the normal submission process, access is limited to HFSP Journal subscribers for the first six months after publication, and is free thereafter.

Taking advantage of Scitation's Accelerated Online Publication capability, HFSP Journal articles are available online immediately following the production process. These accelerated online articles will be complete and final, with identical content to the versions subsequently published in the printed journal. The articles posted in an accelerated fashion will contain final bibliographic citation information and are fully citable from the moment they appear online.

The HFSP Journal is operated by HFSP Publishing, the not-for-profit publisher and partner of the leading international funding agency the Human Frontier Science Program Organization (HFSPO).
