IT MAKES SENSE THAT JUST-BORN DUCKLINGS SHOULD STICK CLOSE BY THEIR MOM IN A SCARY NEW WORLD. BUT PROTECTION ISN'T THE ONLY REASON BABY DUCKS FOLLOW THEIR MOTHER SO CLOSELY, SAYS ZOOLOGIST FRANK FISH AT WEST CHESTER UNIVERSITY.
