Nathan Sanders is an astronomer by training, a professional data scientist, and an organizer in the domain of science communication. Nathan is the Chair of the national Leadership Team for ComSciCon, the Communicating Science Conference series for graduate students and was a co-founder of the organization at its launch in 2012. He also co-founded Astrobites in 2010 and helped cultivate the ScienceBites network of graduate student writing collaboratives in other fields.
Nathan is Head of Data Science at Montai Health, a Flagship Pioneering company, and a Fellow at the Berkman-Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law. Nathan was formerly the Chief Scientist for WarnerMedia Applied Analytics and led a data science group at Legendary Pictures. Nathan did his undergraduate work in Physics and Astrophysics at Michigan State University and earned his PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Harvard University.
