Request for Information: National Space Weather Action Plan

On Jan. 5, the National Science Foundation issued a request for information on behalf of several federal agencies that seeks public input to inform implementation of the National Space Weather Action Plan. Issued in October 2015, the plan requires NSF and NASA to annually identify and prioritize R&D efforts that enhance understanding of space weather in collaboration with other agencies. The RFI notes that although an interagency working group has developed an initial set of priorities, the agencies are seeking input from the broader community to “support a public dialogue on developing research priorities to enhance fundamental understanding of space weather and its drivers.”
