President Obama signed the bill, H.R. 2775, last night. Federal operations resumed this morning after a 16 day shutdown.

A week from tomorrow marks the final month of the current fiscal year, and Senator Bob Corker’s (R-TN) statement, as quoted in the Washington Post, is just the latest indication that no solution is in sight to the continuing division in Washington about federal spending.
