On January 1, ASA officially welcomed Susan E. Fox as its new executive director, bidding a fond farewell to Charles Schmid, who led the society for 22 years. Susan comes to ASA from heading up the Arctic Research Consortium of the US (ARCUS). Within her distinguished career, Susan’s past positions include vice president of the Forbes Group, executive director of the American Association of Law Libraries, and executive director of the Society of American Archivists, among others. Susan holds a Master’s of Science in Public Affairs from the University of Massachusetts’ McCormick Graduate School for Public Affairs; she is also a fellow of the American Society of Association Executives. For more information, read the ASA press release. We look forward to working with Susan and with the talented ASA staff.
