Increases/Decreases: FY 2016 S&T Budget Requests

Action on FY 2016 funding for science and technology agencies shifts from the Obama Administration to Congress following the submission of the FY 2016 budget request last Monday. The Administration’s FY 2016 budget requests for various science agencies and programs varied considerably, and are listed below:

Department of Education – Investing in Innovation: Up 150.0 percent
NIST – Industrial Technology Services: Up 121.6 percent
Department of Education – Excellent Educator Grants: Up 52.2 percent
USGS – Climate and Land Use Change: Up 41.0 percent
