2024 Meggers Project Award Winner Announced
AIP has awarded $25,000 to John Carroll University to undertake their proposed project, “Girls of WiSTEM” Enrichment Program.
John Carroll’s proposal was chosen among several other competitive projects. Girls of WiSTEM stood out as an innovative and sustainable program that can be replicated. It targets a group that is in high need, utilizing existing and accessible equipment at the university. The project is further strengthened by the direct involvement of high school teachers.
The William F. and Edith R. Meggers Project Award of the American Institute of Physics is a biennial award designed to fund projects for the improvement of high school physics teaching in the United States. The objective of the Award is to support projects designed to raise the level of interest in physics and boost the quality of physics education.
