Charlezetta Wilson-Stokes

As a postdoctoral associate, Charlezetta “Charley” Wilson-Stokes used Raman spectroscopic techniques to characterize 2-dimensional and quantum materials and participated in metrological protocol testing, the results of which are used to develop and improve documentary standards. She completed my Ph.D. in physics at Howard University, where she investigated controlled coupling of light and optical vibrations via spacing of nanomaterial within a gel composite.

Charley’s love of science was nurtured through government-sponsored STEM enrichment and research programs. She wants to give back by providing insight to policymakers, ensuring STEM careers and innovation are open to all. She is interested in the intersection of Civil Rights and Science & Technology, particularly Education & Workforce Development and Tech Transfer.
