House Energy & Water Development Appropriations Subcommittee (DOE) Roster

APR 08, 1999

The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development is responsible for writing an appropriations bill that funds, among other areas, the physics-related programs within the Department of Energy. These include Basic Energy Sciences, Fusion Energy Sciences, High Energy Physics, and Nuclear Physics. (While the energy appropriations bill funds most of DOE, the Interior Department appropriations bill funds such DOE programs as fossil fuels, clean coal, and alternative fuels production.) Below is the roster for this subcommittee for the 106th Congress. Included with each subcommittee member’s name is a list of the higher education institutions in his or her district. Information on rosters and university/college listings comes from Congressional Quarterly. See http://www.house.gov/MemberWWW.html for the Web sites of all representatives.
