Advancing Human Spaceflight Act
Purpose
A bill to extend the commitment of the United States to the International Space Station, to develop advanced space suits, and to enable human space settlement, and for other purposes.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Extends the authorization of the International Space Station operations from 2024 to 2030
- Directs NASA to assess future crewed and uncrewed facilities in low-Earth orbit and beyond in preparation for the retirement of the ISS
- Directs Johnson Space Center in Texas to support a program to develop new space suits
