Purpose
To prohibit the research and development, production, and deployment of the Trident D5 low-yield nuclear warhead, and for other purposes.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Prohibits the Department of Defense and Department of Energy from funding any research and development, production, or deployment of the Trident D5 low-yield nuclear warhead
- Repeals DOE’s authorization to develop or modify low-yield nuclear warheads for submarine-launched ballistic missiles
