Hastening Arms Limitations Talks Act of 2021
Purpose
To reduce and eliminate threats posed by nuclear weapons to the United States, and for other purposes.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Prohibits any funds appropriated in fiscal year 2022 and onward to go toward preparing or conducting any explosive nuclear weapons test unless the president details changes to the nuclear stockpile warranting a test and Congress approves the test.
