Summary of Selected Provisions
- Directs the Department of Energy to create a program focused on developing computing capabilities that surpass those of exascale systems
- Recommends Congress increase the annual budget of the Computational Science Graduate Fellowship program to more than $20 million to enable more graduate students to collaborate with researchers at the national laboratories
- Directs DOE to create a program focused on reducing the energy required by advanced computing systems
- Tasks DOE with upgrading its Energy Sciences Network to increase network reliability, cybersecurity, and bandwidth
