Purpose
A bill to establish the Foundation for Energy Security and Innovation, and for other purposes.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Establishes the Foundation for Energy Security and Innovation to channel private and philanthropic funds into R&D and technology commercialization efforts that complement those of the Department of Energy
- Suggests that Congress appropriate $1.5 million for fiscal year 2022 to establish the foundation, $30 million for fiscal year 2023 to support initial activities of the foundation, and $3 million for each fiscal year thereafter to support operations of the foundation
