Securing Helium for Science Act
Purpose
To amend the Helium Act to ensure continued access to helium for holders of Federal research grants, and for other purposes.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Requires the Federal Helium Reserve to continue selling helium to federally funded researchers for up to eight years after it ends general helium sales, but for no longer than through fiscal year 2030
- Stipulates that the price of helium sold from the reserve should increase by 5% annually during that period
