In 2022, AIP has joined forces with several AIP Member Societies, the Society of Physics Students , and the broader physical society community to drive systemic change and increase successful outcomes for physics and astronomy undergraduates with a new collective action initiative called TEAM-UP Together.

Task Force Members
Comprised of physicists, astronomers, and higher education researchers, the TEAM-UP Task Force spent two years (2017-2019) conducting research and released its report, “The Time is Now: Systemic Changes to Increase African Americans with Bachelor’s Degrees in Physics and Astronomy,” also known as the “TEAM-UP Report” at the 235th Meeting of the American Astronomical Society in January 2020.
