Purpose
To prioritize funding for an expanded and sustained national investment in basic science research.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Creates a funding mechanism that would guarantee roughly 5 percent annual budget increases for the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy Office of Science, and NASA’s Science Mission Directorate as well as S&T programs at the Defense Department and the National Institute of Standards and Technology
