Women and Minorities in STEM Booster Act of 2021
Purpose
To increase the participation of historically underrepresented demographic groups in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education and industry.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Directs the National Science Foundation to award grants that support outreach and mentorship opportunities for women and underrepresented minorities in STEM fields
- Recommends Congress provide NSF with $15 million annually through fiscal year 2026 for such grants
