Federal Science Bill Tracker

Our Bill Tracker is an up-to-date index of pending legislation in the U.S. Congress that is most relevant to the physical sciences. It also covers certain cross-cutting topics relevant across the sciences, such as STEM education and research security policy.

The tracker can filter bills based on topic, agency, session of Congress, and whether they have been enacted. There is also a “major bill” filter that displays bills that FYI’s editors have flagged as particularly significant. Major bills are also highlighted with orange bars in the list below. Each bill page includes primary sponsors, major legislative actions, and related FYI reporting.

Note: Appropriations legislation is covered separately through our Federal Science Budget Tracker.
