Tatiana Erukhimova

About

Tatiana Erukhimova is Texas A&M Presidential Professor for Teaching Excellence and inaugural holder of M. L. ’69 and R. F. Schilling ’68 Endowed Chair in the Department of Physics & Astronomy. She develops innovative programs by incorporating physics outreach activities as an integral element of the student learning experience; she leads the NSF-funded nationwide study of the impact of outreach physics programs on the university students. She is a recipient of numerous awards including 2023 APS Nicholson Medal for Outreach and 2024 AAPT Halliday and Resnick Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Physics Teaching. Tatiana’s recent videos featuring physics demonstrations attracted over 1 billion views on departmental social media. She appeared on CBS Mornings, ABC news, NPR, and Jennifer Hudson Show. Tatiana is a Fellow of the American Physical Society, American Association of Physics Teachers, and American Association for the Advancement of Science.
