AIP Coverage of 2026 Nobel Prize in Physics

WASHINGTON, Sept. 29, 2026 — The Nobel Prize in Physics is scheduled to be awarded Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 5:45 a.m. ET, and AIP is here to help news outlets and reporters prepare.

AIP will have two experts available — CEO Michael Moloney and Physics Today Editor-in-Chief Rich Fitzgerald — to provide context on the new laureates, the science behind the prize, and the significance of their work.
