In 2025, AIP awarded ~$157,000 in Venture Grants to support Member Society projects, some of which had Affiliate partners:

AAS
Developing astronomy teaching capacity for university educators in Africa
To hold workshops and create a virtual community of practice for African astronomers and emerging university instructors, to address interactive and inclusive ways of teaching university-level astronomy.

APS, with Optica, AAPT, and AIP
Quantum Animation Series for the International Year of Quantum
To produce a series of video animations by PhD comics that offer an accessible, fun and profound introduction to major themes in the quantum field, in celebration of the International Year of Quantum.

AAPM
Growing AAPM Advocacy
To empower AAPM members across all 50 states through a grassroots effort known as the State Champions Program, and punctuated by a Congressional Visit Day in Washington, DC.

AMS
A Spanish Glossary for Enhanced Weather Literacy
To test and affect translation of the AMS Glossary, a key resource for over half a million users annually, making it accessible Spanish-speaking Americans, including a rapidly growing meteorology community. (This project was cancelled by AMS).

SOR
Assessing virtual education content needs and resources for the Society of Rheology
To explore the creation of a Rheology Academy that would deliver education content to society members. The project will examine sustainable demand, leading practices, and legal considerations to inform potential platform development.
