Ah, summer. It’s a time to kick back, relax, enjoy some time outdoors with family, friends, and co-workers, and in my case, slather on the sunscreen. I’m making a point to have more outdoor picnics and barbecues this year; they’re a great way to get outside, share a meal, and maybe collaborate with a colleague or two.
Take some inspiration from this month’s images of some Nobel Prize winners, physics professors, and leaders from the American Institute of Physics and pack a meal, grab a friend, and get out there! For more primary resources about physicists’ picnics, browse our photo archive or search our oral histories.
