Initial Employment Booklet - Physics Masters Academic Years 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023-24

This booklet is a compilation of some recent AIP Research data on initial post-degree outcomes for exiting master’s degree recipients. An exiting master is defined, in this case, as one who received their master’s degree and then left the department that it was granted by, whether to continue on to their PhD elsewhere, or to enter the workforce.

The data represents outcomes of individuals receiving their physics degrees in academic years 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24. It includes data on initial status, employment sectors and fields, starting salary ranges, knowledge and skills used, and job satisfaction.
