Physics Bachelor’s Initial Employment

This publication examines data primarily gathered from AIP’s follow-up survey of physics bachelor’s from the classes of 2009 and 2010. The surveys were conducted in the winter following the academic year in which they received their degree and asked about the types of employment they held. This publication includes data on starting salaries, employment sectors, fields of employment, and skills used by physics bachelor’s entering the workforce. The data in this report primarily come from AIP’s follow-up survey of physics bachelor’s in the classes of 2009 and 2010.
