Roster of astronomy departments 2013

Total undergraduate astronomy enrollments continue to rise at the 78 degree-granting astronomy departments in the U.S. Undergraduate enrollments are at an all-time high and astronomy bachelor’s degree production is expected to continue to rise as a result. The first-year graduate student enrollments for fall 2013 experienced a sharp decline of 21% from the previous year to 183 students. This report contains the most current enrollment and degree data for each degree-granting astronomy department in the U.S. The findings in this report come from the AIP annual survey of Enrollments and Degrees
